This no different to any other fish and chip shop, however there are two younger staff and two older staff. The younger staff are not that friendly or polite. The older staff are lovely. The food takes a while to be prepared. This is one of the nicest tasting fish and chips shops in the area, but the serves have been getting smaller as the price is getting higher. Used to be good enough to overlook the rudeness of the younger staff, unfortunately not the case anymore.
Not sure how people can expect to be rude to customers and continue to operate a business.
The place was dirty. My thongs stuck to the floor. Service was very dry. Food was overcooked and not worth the money $4 for a minimum of chips, then $1.20 per potato cake. Certainly not a nice experience and definitely won’t be returning. Gravy was heated up in the microwave.
Fish was horribly overcooked and dry, burnt on certain spots. Calamari rings tasted awful and processed, salt was through the roof. Thought it may have just been my taste so had a few other friends try it as well, and they all agreed that both the fish and calamari were awful and made them (including me) feel sick. Chips were okay but nothing fantastic, had better airfryer chips at home especially at the price of everything in the shop. Considering most of their menu is anywhere from $10-$36 it’s ridiculous to charge those prices and still ask for an extra $1-2 if you want a cup of generic tartare/tomato sauce otherwise you get nothing with your meal! For how bad the food and experience was I’m amazed that they’re able to charge those prices. Atmosphere was as bad as the food, staff seemed displeased with us being there, almost as if they just wanted us to get our food and get out. The shop itself was very dirty as well, I was hesitant to touch anything in the shop. I was looking forward to a good fish and chips dinner from this place, but instead was left with what was one of, if not THE worst food experience I’ve ever had at a fish and chips shop in my life. Left feeling sick, and having to bin most of the food due to how bad it was.
Bought $25 worth of food including $5 worth of chips which supposedly feeds 2.5 people which we only got about a hand full amount, dim sims tasted like had been sitting around for hours same as salt and vinegar tenders do not eat them at all they were horrible everyone that tasted them spar it out as it was tasting like rubber, potato cakes were tiny portion same size as a tennis ball, lady also microwaved my gravy which tasted bad 🤣 do not recommend 0/10
Today was the first time we have ordered from here and it was only because our usual go to place was closed.
The food was actually very nice. Not overly oiley and tasteful.
Value for money wasn’t the greatest which is why I deducted a star. Usually I purchase the same amount of chips at my go to store and we get ALOT more.
We also ordered 2 potato cakes and im guessing we got 4 due to the size but even then all 4 of them could fit in my hand. Would definitely go back, but i would need to spend more then i normally do.
Always stop here for a snack.. Friendly service and great food!
