I recently visited the shop because they advertised specialising in gluten-free options. Unfortunately, the gluten-free items was poorly battered, with visible batter when bitten into. Additionally, the chips tasted like they had been microwaved, lacking the expected crispiness and freshness of properly fried chips.
I had high hopes due to their advertised focus on gluten-free food, but the quality of both the fish and chips fell short. Will not be back.
Quirky fishing decorations adorn the large walls of this comfortable fish and chippery. The older gentleman who served us was kind and good at making sure we were happy. The food could have had perhaps a touch more salt (so ask for extra salt) but apart from that the food itself was delicious, fresh, and a decent serve. Thanks!
