Without a doubt the worst fish n chips I’ve had, fish was dry and stale, chips soggy and unenjoyable, potato cakes no better and the burger… Old bun, thin over cooked Pattie with some limp lettuce to top it off, the most enjoyable part, not eating any more! Hopefully they will try to up their game and will review again next month!
Very disappointed / literally got a soggy limp mars bar 🙁 I have come to this fish and chip shop for a long time and I used to call it the best. But unfortunately, the last few times I have come here my food has been soggy and Seems like it’s not left in the oil for long enough.. and there mars bars in batter are gross. Myne for one tasted like fish & was the worse thing I’ve ever eaten 🙁 sadly it’s been one to many times now and I won’t be back.
We’ve just received an Uber eats order.
And the chips were absolutely disgusting. Greasy, with no potato inside them. It’s seems like we had old batch of chips which got warmed up for the 10 time.
Really disappointed as normally everything is good.
Best Fish and veggie burger we have had in a while, quality fish flakes. Friendly staff who were working hard with busy atmosphere due to Xmas weekend.
Went to this place for first and last time
Fish is not fresh, it’s precooked and when cooked again it was inedible chewy rubber.
Potato cakes were barely passable and bland.
The only thing that was any good was the spring roll.
Never ever again.
Horrified to say but there was a guy wearing a silly cap with a fish on it tonight 19/2/26 along side another male employee. A dim sim was accidentally dropped.. right infront of myself, my husband and my mum they picked it up off the dirty floor and threw it back in the deep fryer.
I said something and the guy in the silly hat tried saying he put it back in clean oil.. yeah right!!! Have you seen the dirt on the floors! 🤢
The fish was dry and rubber like… the potato cakes were undercooked and not crunchy.
Last time we ordered they forgot to give us the potato cakes and had to drive back there to collect. Hungry kids waited.
This is the last time we will ever be back!
Health Department need to inspect this place.
Who throws dropped food off a dirty grimy floor back in the fryer and serves it to a paying customer!!!!!!!
Not sure if this has changed hands, haven’t seen that main man there. Second time I asked for cheese on my burger got nothing. Chips were soggy and not at all nice, also the burger didn’t taste anything like it used to. I saw them stuff up two orders while I was there. The two girls behind the counter just laughed. Seems to have gone down the toilet since the bald head man isn’t there to keep them in line. I won’t be going back
Unfortunately new owners have taken over in the past five or six weeks. I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt on three different occasions and sadly I will not be returning. This has gone from one of the most popular fish and chip places in Pakenham/Officer to incredibly horrible in more ways than one I don’t understand why people purchase successful businesses and then go and change everything that has made that business successful. It’s gone from having the cleanest and freshest oil to one of the Had the staff behind the counter unfortunately a very slow and have no idea on what they’re doing overcooked food dirty oil a spring roll which is one of the most basic thing you can possibly cook looked like a pinecone off a tree. Hamburger patty just fell apart in a bun with a horrible taste. Order time went from 10 minutes over the phone to 35 minutes standing in the shop while watching them stuff around behind the counter if the business isn’t broken don’t change it
