Tasty and fresh, scallops from next door fish shop. Reasonable price, but I would love more fries accordingly to the quantity of seafood we ordered. We will definitely comeback.
Was looking forward to a Sunday Fish n Chips. The first red flag was the mass amount of food already made just sitting there. Food was served and the seasoning was DIY…
With my own seasoning added, the food was warm at best. Bland. Soulless. Tasteless. The batter was thick and wet. Honestly cannot think of any reason for me to come back. Quality has deteriorated over the years. I was rather disappointed. Eat at your own risk.
If you’re ever at Prahran market you must try Ann’s Greek plate is now $17 in 2025 and Ann marrinates the meat. It comes with lamb and chicken chips a Greek salad and sauce delicious I highly recommend it, I get this every Friday and sometimes again on Sunday it’s so good 👍 😋
Ann’s fish and chips shop has a new location it’s now a shop not a kiosk and is on the right of the entrance of the seafood section at Prahran market
We tried here years ago and it was bad but decided to give it another shot, we dont eat fish so opted for the burger and chicken souv – the food was inedible, there is no excuse for this quality of food that is located within prahran markets – the burger patty was not fresh but frozen – guys go grab some beef mince, season with a bit of salt and throw on the grill – I had two bites and gave it to the dog. The souv was DRY – revolting thick soggy bread, sour sauce, chicken just basically inedible. Chips were good, obv thrice fried, very oily, not sure how often they change their oil, obv not daily and you can tell – the place seems a success so their fish must be what they excel in…enter at your own risk
Fresh Flake, fried in a batter thats not oily like most places, delicious chips and the potato cakes are yum! Always enjoy Ann’s Fish & Chips.
I went to the shop and was looking at the menu, i took some photos of the menu to show to my friends to see if they wanted anything from this shop however the lady at the counter was like what am i doing ? Which i replied im taking a photo of the menu and she asked me are you confused ? I told her no , i am taking a photo of the menu to show my friends and if they wanted anything. The way she said this made me not want to buy anything so i just left. Felt like she was just rude and didn’t want to give my business to them. Went to the new lobster place instead.
Everything is very nice including food, customer service, environment and also hygiene. Staff is also very friendly. Must visit the place.
