Great fish and chips.. FRESH fish… Make there own potato cakes nice and thin and crunchy just how I like them…. All food hot juicy and very tasty.. Also super clean shop and very friendly staff..
Good chips. Friendly service. Clean shop. Seating area at front of shop. Good stock wall to counter refrigerator drinks are icy cold. Do hamburgers with the lot and steak sandwiches. Have meal deal specials.
All day behind the wheel I had been hankering for fish and chips. Googled fish and chip shop near me and it hit upon Hot Stop with its varied comments in the reviews. When I saw home made potato cakes I knew we were in business! Damn but those cakes were the bees knees! Flake was the best I’ve had in sometimes

Potatoe cakes (hand made) were awesome and tasty. The let down was the hamburger with the lot. A whole 1mm thick beef patty. I guess they’re into maximising profits or maybe they were just low on beef!
Everything was freshly cooked and you can really taste the difference. The fish had a thin, crispy batter and wasn’t greasy at all, and the potato cakes were clearly handmade with a soft inside and a nice crunch on the outside.
The chips were hot and fresh, and overall the food tasted much cleaner and better compared to a lot of other fish and chip shops. Portions were generous and the quality was consistent across everything we ordered.
Simple, honest fish and chips done properly. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

Last time I went there it was pretty average. Must have new owner I was extremely happy with my meal this time around, the chips were cooked to perfection as was everything else we order very happy and give them 5 stars
