What a disappointment 😫 $6 for minimum chips and for what, literally a handful of chips!!!!!! What a rip off.
You didn’t even fill the bottom of the box.. half of it was used up for the dimsims.. I ordered minimum thinking that should be enough for 4 people but it fed one. Unfortunately I won’t be likely to come back. You guys used to be great. Your potato cakes are so small now with a higher price tag… Tasty.. But small and not worth it.. Really disappointed. 😔😠
** CASH ONLY ** no EFTPOS facilities available. Local fish and chip shop. Staff very friendly, looks like a husband and wife team. Food was a bit ordinary. The chips were stale, the calamari rings weren’t the real thing – a bunch of mushed up byproduct of calamari or fish mush. I definitely don’t recommend these. They’re $2 each! I don’t know how they get away with selling them, they’re horrid and unpalatable. The fish wasn’t too bad, but that held up our order by at least 1/2 hour as according to the woman who served me said as the pieces of fish were quite thick it’ll take longer for it too cool. The whole order – 3 x grilled barramundi, 4 x potato cakes, 4 x calamari rings, a small and a large chips came to $65. Quite expensive as the items that made the price higher was the barramundi being $11.50 each.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this fish and chip shop, I’d only give it 3 stars. 2.5 if I could.
Delicious flake and scallop. Chips were golden and crispy. Great value for money. Will definitely be back!
Went in to get me a chicken schnitzel burger and a bacon and egg sandwich. The chicken burger was good, however the bacon and egg sandwich had mould on the bread. Took it back and got my money back. I think to myself I could’ve sued them for more money than the value of the sandwich. Not going back. Who knows what’s happening behind closed doors
$9 for a small fish, too much oil on fish, a very bad smell of overused cooking oil, never had such a bad fish before, completely rubish…
Don’t be alarmed by the Spartan decor, the food is excellent 👌. Top notch 👍. Old School fish& chips.
We are lucky to have a fish & chip shop as great as this in the Springy South area. The fellow that runs the shop is ALWAYS friendly. Every order is always yum, and the prices are pretty good.
The food was utterly disgusting. First of all they didn’t drain all the oil, the paper was drenched and everything was extremely oily, secondly it tasted like they used the oil since the start of the year and thirdly they put way too much salt on the fries, the fish was hard and the fried calamari was weird the potato cakes were also way too salted. Thirdly the portion sizes are really small and it’s expensive for what it’s worth. Don’t come here unless you love salt and used oil
