Excellent fish and chips place, been here a few times. Always cooked to perfection.
Just had one of the best takeaway experiences ever at Sunshine Star Fish and Chips! I grabbed the Burger with the Lot, a side of crispy golden chips, and a 600ml drink, all for just $20.50, which is incredible value for what you get. The burger was loaded to perfection, juicy, fresh, and packed with flavour in every bite. The chips were perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, just the way real chips should be.
The customer service was just as impressive, the staff were friendly, polite, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was spot on. You can tell they take pride in their food and service. It’s rare these days to find a local spot that nails both quality and value like this one does.

My new fave local fish and chips. Ordered on a Sunday around 7pm and they were piping hot and fresh as. Ready in 10 minutes for pick up was all they needed. Got the Seafood Combo (1 flake, 1 scallop, 1 seafood stick, 2 calamari rings & chips) for $20.50, an extra flake ($9.50) and dim sim ($1.50). The flake was fantastic and had those great crispy scraggly bits on top and we was impressed with the big juicy scallop. The calamari was a bit rubbery. Chips were seasoned to perfection with lots of chicken salt (an opt in when they ask). Would have loved to get a couple lemon wedges but we made do at home. Prices were so reasonable and we will be back!

Absolutely delicious! Hands down one of the best fish and chip shops in Sunshine. The fish is always fresh, the batter is perfectly crisp, and the chips are golden and cooked just right. You can really taste that everything is made with care and fresh oil.
The portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the food is consistently great — whether you dine in or take away. It’s become my go-to spot for a classic Aussie fish & chips feed. Highly recommend giving them a try if you’re in the area!

After my local fish and chip shop fell away i have not had fish and chips for over 3 years. Decided to give Sunshine Star a go, and thankfully I did. Very fresh, awesome chips and all well cooked. Glad I found a new shop to confidently buy fish and chips again. Will be a regular now!
Absolutely fabulous food at this establishment, the scallops were huge and perfectly cooked, thier barramundi again enormous, chips, potato cakes and dim sims were perfect. The banana fritters and pineapple fritters were stunning. Highly recommend this establishment.
Went here for the first time, and loved their flake. It was so crunchy, and had not much salt which was a bonus. Will come back here again.
