Surrey Hills holds a small cluster of shops, well rated on a modest body of customer reviews, and at least one of them rates especially highly. Delivery runs across all of them, and all are recorded as family friendly, though only a minority take dine-in customers.
The menus lean Traditional Aussie. Flake, snapper, hoki and flathead turn up widely, while King George whiting, flounder, barramundi and calamari appear at several shops. On the hot food side of the counter, potato cakes, dim sims and battered savs are widely stocked, with chiko rolls, spring rolls, battered pineapple, scallops and calamari rings recorded at several.
Too few menus here have been priced to give a suburb figure, so the individual surveys are worth reading on their own terms. At Wattle Park Fish n Chips, the surveyed menu showed plain chips at $6.00 and a single piece of fish at $12.90, with most mains sitting between $9.50 and $15.90. That shop is strongly rated and lists flake, King George whiting, flounder and snapper, along with chiko rolls and battered pineapple. Surrey Hills Fish & Chips & Grill, also strongly rated, showed plain chips at $6.50 and a single fish piece at $11.00, with mains ranging from $9.50 up to $21.00; it takes dine-in and carries prawns and scallops alongside the battered range. Loui's Seafood is very strongly rated and works as takeaway and delivery.
