We were given stale chips, looked and tasted old, very far from fresh. The fish wasn’t much better, tasted like rubber. The staff seem friendly, just not sure if they were having a slow day and had given us an older batch of food. Would not recommend or go back, based on this experience.

This shop doesn’t deserve 0 star. If you open a food outlet , be prepared to serve the customer with food, not just the batter that i can get from Coles. I paid $16 for seafood basket and had to scrape out the fish to feed my child. You only had two customers in your shop who you couldn’t serve quality food; shame to have these kind of food shops around. Mate you should change the shop name to fish batter only.
The owner also has an attitude like batter .

I recently visited Tarneit West Fish and Chips Shop, and I was seriously impressed. The chips were golden, thick-cut, and cooked just right—crunchy edges with a soft centre.

The portions were generous and great value for money. The food wasn’t greasy at all, which is a big win in my books.

The service was friendly and fast, the place was clean and had a welcoming, laid-back vibe. You can tell they take pride in what they do.

If you’re craving a classic fish and chips feed done properly, this is the spot. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Have ordered many times from this shop always felt the fish and potato cakes are well above average, but the chips are very stale, sometimes not cooked properly to the point where we would not order the chips. Minimum chips also, seven dollars and you don’t get a great deal anyway

Came here once and the portion was quite good. The fries and dip were very good and crispy. The chips had good flavour as well and I would come here again %100.

The worst $130 my family & I have ever spent on food. Fish was soggy & way over cooked. More batter than fish on all pieces of fish.
Tasted like rubber (flake as well as barramundi) – chips cooked in OLD oil, tasted dry , off brown colour. Nuggets way over cooked.
Worst dinner ever. Do not recommend

I was thoroughly disappointed with the quality of food served. The service was friendly and attentive—perhaps a little too much—and honestly, the energy spent on customer service would be better put into improving the food. I ordered the burger with the lot, which tasted more like a plain cheeseburger with an odd flavour to the patty. The seafood pack was equally disappointing: the fish was certainly not flake and was hidden under thick, greasy batter, the calamari was dry, the scallop was mushy, and the battered sausage was overcooked and split. Even the chips were stale and lacked any freshness. Overall, it was a very underwhelming experience. I do not recommend this place—save your money.

One of the best places to get fish and chips from and the people are so nicer you need to go try this place at least once you’ll never regret it
