Enjoyed the grilled fish 🐟 . Place was clean, not a lot of people at about 1.30pm on Friday afternoon. My fish 🐟 had the Mediterranean sauce over it and totally killed the taste of the fish. Chips were ok, nothing special. You can scan the bar code and order at table. The free water served, is not chilled.
We were able to get a table outside as soon as we arrived, even though it was a busy and warm Saturday evening with lots of people around.
Food and drinks are ordered at the counter and then they bring the orders out to you.
We ordered a beer each as well as a grilled calamari salad and a flake and chips. Both delicious. Great portions. Will definitely return.
Today for Father’s Day I took my husband and son to eat for Dinner at Hunky Dory Watergardens. I was very happy with the overall service of the restaurant. The people were very friendly, great customer service and the waiting time for food was not long.
I was very impressed how nice the place was and very clean. I was also very happy how fresh and delicious the food was. As a family we all enjoyed the food alot, I would come back again for sure and recommend this place to my family and friends. Well done to management and team for providing such a great service and experience for us.
I live about 15 minutes away and usually order from here through UberEats. The food always arrives fresh (even the chips!), and tastes top quality which I really appreciate. Definitely recommend, I’ll keep ordering again and again!
Best place to eat. Came here with my husband and son on the 1st November 25 and the food was absolutely amazing. Fish cooked so well especially being pregnant. My son is a very fussy eater and he ate all his fish bites. The owner Sunny (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) was so lovely and helpful especially being under staff he took care of everything. staff working at front and chefs were amazing. Definitely would recommend and come back again. 😊👍🏼
Had a great experience at Hunky Dory Watergarden! The fish was tasty and fresh, served quickly, and the portion of salad was huge. A healthy and satisfying meal, definitely coming back again!
Our church leadership team had a wonderful meal at Hunky Dory Watergardens. The staff were warm, friendly, and incredibly accommodating for our group, making the whole evening easy and relaxed. The food was fresh, tasty, and came out quickly — everyone loved their meals.
It’s not always easy finding a spot that works well for a group, but Hunky Dory really delivered. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!
Came in with a friend and while we were being seated, one of the male staff members joked, “don’t fight, yeah?” We didn’t really get the joke but laughed it off and moved on. Realising now that it’s merely because we’re 2 young women…? No idea.
The food was great and we were just chatting like anyone would. Less than 15 minutes later, the same staff member came back and joked that we were “talking too much instead of eating. You should eat more and stop talking so much” We were so shocked, we just looked at him with awkwardness. The restaurant wasn’t even super full.
We understand it was meant to be humour, but we were so shocked we didn’t know how to respond, except giggle it off again. It came across as incredibly rude and insensitive. Please have some social awareness if you’re in customer service.
