About
Treendale Fish and Chips is a casual dine-in and takeaway spot in Australind, Western Australia, serving up the classic combination of fish and chips for lunch and dinner. The shop is family friendly, with a kids’ menu available and wheelchair-accessible facilities, making it an easy choice for a range of visitors passing through the area.
The fish and chips are the main draw here, and on a good visit the food hits the mark, with regulars noting friendly service and a clean, well-kept shop floor. Portion sizes are considered reasonable, and the chips earn particular praise. The shop does attract a solid crowd, which speaks to its popularity in the Australind area, though during peak periods wait times can stretch well beyond initial estimates. Visiting on a quieter night tends to deliver a noticeably better experience all round.
Food quality can vary from visit to visit, with some reports of inconsistency around chip texture and grilled fish. That said, plenty of regulars return regularly and rate the food highly when the kitchen is firing. Free parking is available nearby, and the shop caters for both a quick solo takeaway and a sit-down family meal.
Phone ahead during busy dinner periods to get a sense of current wait times before heading in.

Haven’t had fish and chips for a couple of years. Treendale fish and chips didn’t disappoint. Service was friendly, shop was spotless and food was delicious. Great job, won’t wait so long again to return
Spent $20
Took 40 nearly and hour for 1 serve of fish
and chips, served people who ordered after me, I asked where the food was and all I got was ‘not to long’. When the time came around and I saw my food being packed I saw about a small handful of chips and a thin piece of tiny fish. Food tastes greasy, sickening and portion size couldn’t even fill a 3 year old child.
Not the best we’ve had. Asked for grilled snapper looked and tasted like poached Hake. Rubbery.
Will be going back to eaton.
Female owner not the friendliest either.
My brother ordered sea scallops that turned out to be stingray flaps hole punched to look like scallops. The shark was lovely. My fishnets were dry and horrible. We will definitely not return.
Great food, no doubt about it but. Because they get so busy, they take the phone off the hook. Last visit, like a number of times we had to drive down. We were told it’ll be 20 minutes, 1 hour later we got dinner, not the first time. So disappointed again, from now on we’ll head into town.
Awesome fish and chips
Head in on a less busy night if you want the best service and food
Yummy
Thankyou!
Just wasted $50. The “grilled” fish was boiled within an inch of its life and dry as a nuns. The salt and pepper squid was pure oily batter and the chips were absolute 💩 not even our dog would eat it. Wouldn’t eat here again even if it was free. YUK
Great service n best chips with reasonable portion sizes. Would b better if open more over the wknds 😉
