About
Da Silva Seafood is Brunswick’s local fish and chip shop and seafood market rolled into one, serving the South West Western Australia community with generous portions and a strong reputation for quality. The fish and chips here draw regular praise for their light, crispy batter that avoids the heavy, oily texture that lets so many shops down. Portions are notably large, and the shop carries a well-earned name for value that keeps families and passing travellers coming back.
Beyond the classic fish and chips, Da Silva’s operates as a working seafood market, which means fresh and frozen seafood is available alongside the hot food counter. The pickled prawns are a genuine highlight, with the house-made pickled seafood mix drawing particular attention from those who know to ask for it. Crumbed prawns and other frozen seafood round out the retail side of the business.
Staff are known for being genuinely friendly and helpful, the kind of easy, unpretentious service that makes a simple meal feel looked after. The shop is takeaway only, so there’s no dine-in option, but the food travels well and the surrounding area makes it an easy stop for anyone passing through Brunswick or exploring the broader South West region.
Da Silva Seafood holds a strong reputation among local regulars and visitors alike, with well over four and a half stars across dozens of reviews. It’s a solid reason to pull off the highway. Check opening hours before making the trip.

Piped into Brunswick Junction town, got some fish and chips from this place , on way back from Bunbury to Mandurah,, well worth the detour , even a water hole Pub next door.

Fish and chip shop like they used to be, big serves, fresh fish and cheap. Light batter, not oily, delicious thx.
One of the best fish and chips around. And the portions are epic. Crunchy and delicious. Made with a lot of love.
Did not get fish and chips.. next time just got their home made pickled seafood… fabulous
One of the best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. Big portions and value for money. Great customer service, and when I had my hands full, the guy opened the door for me. How about that!
Best fish n chips we had for the whole trip in the South West! Freshly made, huge portions, extremely friendly staff.
Best fish & chips in the south west, and the pickled prawns & seafood mix is delicious. We always stop in there on our way to Perth and grab a few jars.
The fish and chip shop appears like it’s been closed for some time so this review is only for the frozen seafood. We’ve been buying from Joe from the bunbury markets for years and have always been impressed with the quality and price. The Brunswick shop has more options like crumbed prawns which are awesome!!
