About
Vale Fish & Chips is a well-regarded fish and chip shop serving the Aveley community and the broader Swan Valley area. With a solid four-plus star reputation built across a healthy number of reviews, it has earned a loyal following among locals who return regularly for lunch and dinner.
The menu covers the classics and then some. Fish and chips are the headline act, with regulars also drawn to the squid rings, potato cakes, and prawns. Mussels and oysters add a bit of range for those after something a little different. Portion sizes get consistent praise, and the fish is noted for being fresh and well-cooked. The squid rings in particular come up as a favourite, tender and satisfying. The shop is also known for being very clean, which always counts for something.
Vale Fish & Chips offers dine-in, takeaway, and delivery, making it a flexible option for families, workers finishing late, or anyone after a relaxed meal. A kids menu is available, and the venue is family-friendly with wheelchair-accessible parking and entrance. Free parking is on hand as well. Card and mobile payments are accepted. If ordering via a delivery platform, it is worth phoning ahead during busy periods to confirm your order is complete.
For anyone in the Aveley area after a straightforward, generous feed from a fish and chip shop that clearly takes quality seriously, this one is worth adding to the list. Check opening hours before you head in.

Disappointed to find that the two extra crabsticks we had ordered and 5 squid rings were not there and waited half an hour plus an extra 15 minutes past closing time despite ordering well before, because of a last minute uber eats order.
Just disappointed because when first opened the food and service was just amazing but now with the cost and this?
I’ve headed to the Woodlake Fish and Chips despite the hassle of the cash system I’d rather that than the uncertainty of this again plus the quantity is just disappointing not to mention that…
“A DEEP-FRIED RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE”
I walked into Vale Fish & Chips a mere mortal. I walked out reborn, my soul battered (in the best way), golden, and served with a side of tartare.
The moment I bit into that flaky, golden snapper, time slowed. I swear I saw Poseidon himself rise from a fryer basket, give me a knowing nod, and whisper, “You have chosen wisely.” The chips? Not just potatoes—no, my friend. These were divine fragments of the starch gods themselves, crisped to an alchemical perfection known only to wizards and grandmas.
The tartare sauce unlocked a childhood memory I never lived. I wept into my paper-wrapped meal, tears of joy mixing with vinegar in an unexpectedly poetic marinade of emotion.
The staff? Kind. Efficient. Possibly clairvoyant. One of them handed me a napkin before I even asked, like they knew the emotional breakdown was coming.
It’s not just dinner. It’s a reckoning. A crispy, salty pilgrimage to the deep-fried gates of heaven.
Will I return? I already have—in dreams, in cravings, in whispered midnight chants to the fry gods.
Vale Fish & Chips… take all my stars. And my heart.
Ordered through Uber but an item was missing, 2x extra crab sticks – tried to refund through Uber and the items did not meet refund criteria. Would not have this issue if the item was in the order.
Other than that Food was great, its unfortunate that this miss hap happened.
Like most Kiwi’s, get fish & mussels cooked slightly underdone(had to phone shop to ask for under done) what beautiful fish & mussels & squid rings tender and yum as!
We got the $89 pack, and got a piece of snapper on the side, the fish in package was very nice the snapper was very ordinary wont buy again.
Uber eats need heat box keep food a bit hotter otherwise customers will complain about food temp.
Thank you Vale F&C satisfied Kiwi.
Can’t belive I haven’t already reviewed this place! Best fish n chips in the swan Valley, always amazing quality and the service is second to none! We love swining by after finishing late!
Ordered approximately $70 of Fish and Chips on Christmas Eve to take the weight off cooking. Cold, stale and total of $6 chips to feed family of 4, looked like 50cents worth. So disappointed and to add to the disappointment, this was by far worst fish and chips I have ever tasted. $70 in the bin and Uber won’t offer a refund.
Ordered the family feast, I cant complain about the food, fish, crab sticks and pineapple fritters were great, only complaint i think the serve of chips were very small for a family feast.
The most authentic fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. The shop is incredibly clean, and the fact it’s family-run makes you feel welcomed the moment you walk in.
My perth go to!!
