I’ve come here to this humble fish and chip shop that used to literally in my opinion top 3 fish and chip shop in Perth. However with the last visit found the quality of the food that I was served to have dropped to a level I would describe as not fit for human consumption. The squid rings were good the scallop was decent However the fish the main course in what is fish and chips? Wow that is cardboard with batter. It what it is I got the standard fish not sure what fish that even was but it tasted cheap and nasty and way overcooked now the barramundi I paid a fortune for… It was a bit of fish with a mountain of batter… Overcooked drastically. Meal was $50 for what in my opinion wasn’t worth half that money. As others have said place was quiet and time to move on. They’ve killed this place. Never would I visit this place again knowing what I will get. You are forewarned that the new owners have run this place into the ground with low quality fish.
I haven’t ordered in a year hence it was fault in my end that a $70 meal became $97 last night.
I ordered 24 squid rings which previously 12 for $10 , and now its 6 for $10. Double the price. And also I forgot to mention less salt as it was very salty, no shaking off and fresh lemons could have fix. Hence im here to update the price, see pic.
Some of the scallops were overcooked but overall the snapper was cooked perfectly so was the squid rings. Fries was good as always, i would definitely return again with a reminder of ‘only a bit of chicken little salt’ next time.
We’ve been coming here for 11 years, it’s changed ownership 4 times in that time however this time we’ve really noticed the change, the menu has changed, no more $9 Hawaiian pack, prices have increased so much it’s actually ridiculous. $3 for one fried dim sim ? Wow.
We recently ordered meal for 3 which is now $42. It comes with $6 chips. Which u can see in my picture. Atrocious! I actually used to brag about this fish n chip shop so much. I’m sorry but I won’t be returning. The food is decent but they are greedy now. I gave 2 stars
Quick service, fresh & tasty treat at a good price tag.
Don’t think anyone can go wrong w/ that.
Way over priced. It cost us $73 to feed 2 kids and 2 adults. The fish which cost us $10 a piece was way over cooked and dry. The only good part was the chips. Very disappointed.
The entrance is narrow, concealed next to a clinic.
Could be a little chalengging to find it at night.
However, it’s worth the effort. The service is excellent, friendly.
The food is high quality.
Highly recommended.
Food was great its ashame the young fulla working there was more worried about finishing at 8 as he clearly showed his displeasure of ppl ordering at 730 , very rude an clearly doesnt wont to be there
This is without doubt the worst fish and chips ever. Ordered 3 snapper and chips no way was it Snapper. It was overcooked and dry as anything the chips tasted like they were cooked last week again dry and tasteless. Please do yourself a favour do not go.
