About
Two Groupers is a casual fish and chip shop in Busselton, Western Australia, a short stroll from the Busselton Jetty. The menu leans on classic coastal favourites, with the grilled whiting fillet and chips as the signature dish. Snapper also gets a strong mention from regulars, with crispy batter and full flavour drawing repeat visits. The burgers are made fresh rather than mass-produced, and the fish and chips are consistently described as hot and fresh straight out of the kitchen.
The shop suits families well, with a kids’ menu and a relaxed setup that includes both indoor dining and outdoor seating. Counter and table service are both available, and the venue accepts card and mobile payments. Takeaway is popular, though some find larger orders benefit from phoning ahead to get timing right.
Portion sizes on the main dishes tend to be generous, though a handful of visitors have flagged that side portions can be smaller and chip consistency varies. Order accuracy during busier periods has also drawn occasional comment. No reservations are taken, so arriving a little early for dinner is sensible.
For anyone visiting Busselton and wanting a straightforward, affordable fish and chips meal in a family-friendly setting, Two Groupers is a convenient and well-located option. Check opening hours before you head in.

Food was good, but we asked for grilled fish, actually 3 times and when we got to the beach it was battered. Considering you pay $5 extra for 2x grilled, it was not the best experience.
I went tonight for the first time and it was absolutely disgusting 🫣 the batter was so thin and greasy everytime I picked up the fish it slopped out and was so slimey and almost had a fruity tang to it.
I would never go back.
Photo taken at sunset so it makes the chips look cooked but they were pretty underdone and hard.
Very disappointing on multiple experiences. Chips are always under done and sad. Any sides we have ordered have been limp and average. Portion sizes are definitely less than expected. Would highly recommend Gropers in Broadwater over here.
Absolutely loved our meal at The Crouper Busselton!
The food was incredibly fresh, tasty, and surprisingly affordable for the quality. It’s only about an eight‑minute walk from the Busselton Jetty, which makes it such a convenient spot to stop by after a stroll.
I also really appreciated how cozy and peaceful it felt ‘ not too busy, just a nice, relaxed atmosphere to enjoy good fish and chips. A lovely little gem in Busselton, and definitely worth a visit.

I don’t usually do reviews wasted time, I’m no effluencer just a couple getting fish and chips for dinner. WOW fantastic hot crisp and delicious and the staff outstanding. Thank you for a great meal
Best snapper ive had in Australia in 23 years, crispy batter and full of flavour, my partnwr had the hamburger he said it was fresh, tasty and not mass produced. Sat inside and service was on point. If your ever in Busselton, i recommend you stop in and try it.
Excellent take away Fish n Chips. Large portions & tasty, would order again. One small remark all the food was piled in into one Takeaway container? (Not wrapped) so concerned it would go cold as we had several streets to walk. But it was fresh & hot. 5 * for food.
I’m Incredibly disappointed. We’ve been coming to the shop for quite a few years and have noticed the standard drop more and more throughout the years, especially since the owners changed. The prices are actually ridiculous for the amount of food you get… We ordered snapper (for an extra fee) but I’m certain we got a different fish instead, or IF it was snapper, it was very badly done. The fish was hard to bite into and didn’t even taste like fish but much rather a meat. The last 5+ times we have always left very disappointed and scammed. Won’t be coming back after last time.
