Has seriously gone down hill over the last 6 months. Apparently this is acceptable to serve. It’s greasy and burnt at the same time, which is quite the achievement. The fish bites were a weird texture, the batter was soggy and chewy as if they had been reheated. Two of the women behind the counter were absolutely miserable, so not worth calling up to complain. The younger girl was nice, but we’ll drive a bit further to the Currambine one next time.
I’ve eaten at the Butler outlet 10+ times over the last couple of years and I usually get black or white pudding and Brit chips. Tried the haggis recently and it’s amazing too! It’s a different experience than most of the other fish and chip shops which is what you would expect with their branding. I’m not a Brit ex pat so there’s no nostalgia component for me — I only knew Aussie-style fish and chips before going here. Now, the ‘hand cut’ Brit chips do range from a little more soggy to a bit more cooked on different visits but they all have a big potato flavour — and I like them! I usually douse mine in tomato sauce and eat the meal in my car in the shop carpark staring out at the working class urban environment!
The shop still offers the pre-processed, factory made chips but if you do just want Aussie-style Fish and Chips made with those ‘regular’ commercial chips there are plenty of other places close by such as Mindarie Keys Fish and Chips, Shark Shack in Merriwa, and Rocks Fish and Grill at Quinns which are all very good. If you want to try something else on another part of the map then this is the place!
Guys. Ive been to the Currambine store many many times, its great everytime. first time here tonight. The sausage is so wet with grease that it’s no longer crispy. Chips are dry.
We ordered food today the chips were raw. Why did it cost me nearly $50 for raw chips that’s disgusting. Atleast put the prices down if we’re cooking like like, this used to be such a great place. Won’t be coming here again.
Really yummy gluten free options that are very appreciated! I was worried I would never be able to have a good fish and chips again once having to go gluten free. I am so grateful that I can now have fish and chips on the beach with my family again after finding you! 💖
Ordered here a few times now and has been great, always get the snapper and chips, great portion and always delicious fresh fish, definitely recommend for takeaway.

BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN PERTH! Chips done the proper way. Curry sauce is to die for. Nothing like sausage supper. Staff is always so happy and friendly 😊
