About
Jubilee Fish & Chips Takeaway has been a fixture in Cloverdale since the 1970s, making it one of the longest-running fish and chip shops in the Belmont area. That kind of staying power says something, and regulars who have followed the shop across decades still rate it among their favourites in the region.
The menu leans into the classics. Snapper gets a strong mention from long-term visitors, with many describing individual pieces as among the best they have eaten. Calamari and other seafood options round out the offering, and the chips, when on form, are cooked just right. Portion sizes have historically been one of the shop’s talking points, with serves described as genuinely generous. Spring rolls also draw praise from those who venture beyond the core fish and chips menu.
The shop is casual and relaxed, well suited to families, and takeaway is the main service style. Free parking makes a quick pickup straightforward. It accepts credit cards, so no need to carry cash.
It is fair to note that recent opinions are mixed. Some visitors feel portion sizes have shifted and prices have risen, while others continue to rate it as the best fish and chip shop in Cloverdale. The shop has a well-rated reputation overall, built across a large number of reviews, and for many in the area it remains a dependable neighbourhood spot. Phone ahead during busy periods to avoid a wait.

Great F&C shop!
Top quality fish and other seafood chips are cooked just right
And the prices are fantastic!
Caution!!!! The serves are very large!!!
Plus the owner is a great friendly guy!
Highly recommend
Jubilee!
So disappointing. Chips were somehow burnt and under-cooked at the same time. Potato scallops were burnt and dry. Ordered 4 pineapple fritters and only got 3 1/2 ?! Save your time and money, go elsewhere.
It used to be a great spot for fish and chips, but the prices have increased, and the portion sizes have shrunk. The fish is now smaller compared to other shops nearby. I’ve also noticed that when the female shopkeeper is serving, the portions are noticeably smaller.
Since the 1970s this has been a fish & chips shop in Cloverdale!
I love that Jubilee Fish & Chips is refreshingly old school and I hope it continues to remain so!
I recently had the opportunity to try the large family meal, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. While we were excited to enjoy a nice dinner together, we found the chips to be limp and soggy, which required us to use the air fryer just to get them a bit crispy.
The crab sticks were particularly disappointing; they had a powdery texture and an off taste that made them inedible. On a positive note, the fish was decent, but the batter had an unpleasant old oil flavor that detracted from the overall experience.
I hope this feedback helps improve the quality of the meals in the future.
Had family call in unexpectedly around dinner time and decided to have fish and chips. Been trying to find a decent shop as those close by have gone downhill. Well this experience has had us all vowing never to step foot in their doors again. Feeding 6 and fish batter was floury and greasy. Chips couldn’t have been limper if they tried. Cold and under cooked. Don’t ask me how they managed to be so floppy. Put them in the air fryer to try cook and crisp in up but that didn’t even work. Crab sticks were the same as fish. Just as well I had bread and Vegemite to fill hungry tummy’s. Will definitely not go back. Very embarrassed to feed the family this.
Absolutely best value and great tasting fish and chips in perth
