We have tried every fish and chip shop in Belmont /Cloverdale and this is now our go – to place. The chips are hot and crispy. They seem to add a bonus in your order which is an amazing touch and brings us back each time.
A bit pricey, but fish was VERY nice (snapper). also ordered potatoe scallops. Both the fish and potatoe scallops came in a very light, crispy batter. Absolutely NOT greasy at all, which is VERY unusual for most fish n chip shops these days. Best in the district. RECOMMEND..!!
Exquisite fish and chips. They take a little while to cook but is so worth it. It shows the love that the two lovelies behind the counter put in to their food. Highly recommend, from a NZ fish n chip lover. (Written on behalf of my Mum)
Definitely the best fish and chips I have ever purchased. Great batter, clean oil because chips have never tasted so good and reasonable prices. Just wish the lemon wedge was bigger to match my fish size. Hungry order up at Jason’s! U won’t regret it.
The best fish and chips I’ve ever had. I honestly don’t eat fish from anywhere else. Soft, fresh and doesn’t taste fishy. The oil is always fresh as well. Lovely friendly staff.

Have been a loyal customer for a few years. I used to rate this a my favorite fish and chips place. Always got it delivered. Always come hot and very fresh and tasty. We normally get quite a few diff things to share. Todays was shocking. Food came warm but was the most stale food I’ve eaten in a long time. It wasn’t one thing – it was All of it – fish, chips, calamari, prawns. Something clearly different happening in the production here. Not sure if new owners or we are just recycling frozen food after this Christmas Break. Regrettably given this place several plugs to friends. Been consistently good to this point. Sadly it’s the last time I’ll give this a go.
