Dinner tonight was a good experience. The battered fish was moist and cooked well. The chips were nice. The standout for our family though was the squid rings which were cooked perfectly and had an awesome garlic flavour throughout. I felt that their prices were reasonable also.
Perfectly battered fish and chips, light and crispy, good flavoured fish. $14 standard fish & chips (or $12.50 basa & chips). My husband and I did prefer the basa fish over the traditional as it tasted softer and better texture. Although the chips were freshly fried, the seasoning and crunchiness wasn’t a match for the other fish & chips place we’ve visited recently in the neighbouring suburb. Portion size was quite generous, plenty of chips. It seemed like a family run business and everyone including the children are all very friendly. The only downside was the after taste greasiness in the mouth that lingered for a while which we didn’t experience from the other place we visited… it is fried food after all… Excellent fish & chips in the local.
We had the red emperor fish and chips and it was beautiful. The batter on everything was perfect. They even chucked in a free bottle of soft drink and had free strawberries to take. It was super yummy and filled my pregnancy craving haha
Not good. The chips were not tasty.
They forgot a piece of gummy shark.
One potato cake was nice. The other two bad. The sausage in batter awful. The corn jack they tried to batter. Omg. Very odd.
ordered $9 of chips and other things. Very disappointed on the amount of chips we got might as well of ordered $5 and got the same amount 🙄
Very disappointed
Went to order fish and chips for 4 people and they told me about the special – saved $6 straight off the bat! The servings were huuuuge and very very generous! Fed four adults and two kids easily! Nice and hot and the sides were delish too! Pineapple fritters were sooo yummy!
Order one fishermans basket.
Really friendly clean and nice tasty. Thanks.
