About
Twin Fin Restaurant & Bar is a well-regarded fish and chip shop in Fremantle, sitting near the docks area and drawing a steady crowd for its fresh seafood and generous portions. With a solid four-plus star reputation across close to a thousand reviews, it has built a loyal following among locals and visitors alike.
The menu leans heavily on quality seafood done well. Crumbed fish and grilled snapper are the standout options, and the batter is noted for being light and thin rather than thick and heavy. The chips are a consistent draw, and the seafood platter for two makes a popular choice for those wanting to share. The Big Fin special, featuring fish, chips, prawns, squid, and crab sticks, is a crowd favourite for its sheer size. Regulars also mention the banana split and watermelon slushies as worthwhile extras. Serves are genuinely large, with families reporting more food than they could finish.
Twin Fin offers dine-in, takeaway, and delivery, open for lunch and dinner across the week. The venue is family friendly and halal, with wheelchair access throughout. There is outdoor seating where dogs are welcome, along with an on-site bar and fireplace for those settling in for a longer visit. Groups of all sizes are well catered for.
For anyone hunting fish and chips in Fremantle, Twin Fin is worth knowing about. Phone ahead during busy dinner service to make the most of your visit.

I ordered the Family Feast with 2 drinks already & I add 2 coffee for just $85. We’re 5 adults & 2 kids and we still even could’t finish it as the serving is huge. The fish is fresh & I love that the batter is pretty thin & the chips are crispy. The duty manager is very friendly & helpful. Overall, I definitely recommend this place. We will definitely come back.
Amazingly fresh seafood as always & great prices. 👌👌👌👌 the watermelon slushies were amazing for a summers day as well.
Lovely banana split for dessert too 😋
Big Fin special – fish chips prawns squid crab sticks – loads!
Located near the docks area of Freo we had planned a visit in advance to try some local tasty fish and chips. Instead we went for the Big Fin special and wow was it huge. We could not finish it. Two pieces of fish, prawns, crab sticks and calamari with chips and two drinks for 48 Aus dollars. Simple to order at the counter or via the app. We sat inside and tried our best to finish it but failed. Tasted delicious but could have easily fed three or four people. Would recommend and indeed the menu is pretty fish extensive.
Apologies for the late review, finally had ample time to sit down and write them properly. We went on 26th October 2025 actually. We wished we can eat there everyday throughout our trip haha. The food, the ambience and the service!!!! Just top-notch.
We got the 2 servings seafood platter and oh my god it was so delicious. The oysters as well, they were so fresh. If I weren’t so full I would have ordered another 1/2 dozen. They were THAT good 🥹 There are 3 of us, a group of Muslims.
The manager (?) / the one who often talk to the customers, I’m sorry I forgot to ask for her name but she has the sweetest smile and she was extremely kind to us. We were so grateful for her attentiveness and we even received complimentary seafood chowders for each person. Her and the entire team were so so sweet 😭
We requested for a plain salad prior reservation (because we dont want to trouble them by asking to check their mayo ingredients) and one of the staff accidentally gave us the one with mayo, I asked if we can change it and they gave us a bigger salad with a dressing we can eat!! I could cry.. they were so sweet 😭
All of us went out happily with our tummy full 🫶 Recommended this restaurant on my social media and there are already couple of my friends saying it’s on their list. Hope this place will receive more customers !
It offers many food options for meals to suit all tastes. It’s very well located, close to an incredible sunset view. It has a very good atmosphere. If you go to Fremantle, it’s worth checking out.
Had a great dinner for 4. The fishes were well cooked, fried or grilled. Fries were crispy, well salted and generous in portion. The chili mussels were excellent. The chowder was fair. Would return for more.
Most people thinking about fish and chips in Fremantle, two names always pop up in their minds, Cicelleros and Kailis. Twin Fin is always of an underdog I think when it comes to fish and chips. However, personally, I think Twin Fin serves the best in terms of values and freshness, only let down by the flat ginger beer the last time we went. The batter is nice and crispy but never oily. It has always been our favourite family fish and chips spot before catching wonderful sunsets at Bathers Beach.
Prices were soooo cheap compared to other fish n chips shop n their f&c were the best!!! Only thing missing was lemon n more tartar sauce!! But atmosphere was fantastic n staff so friendly!!! A lot Cheaper n chips were heaps better than cicerellos!! Cicerellis fish was still slightly better but their chips werent as good as this place
