Gourmet is the furthest I would call this place. Was late in the day asked if the food in the Bay Marie with fresh asking for a discount if it wasn’t, was told it was only to find out it was the driest thing I have ever had.
Have purchased the fish & chips a few times now, generally pretty good. Made fresh.
Sometimes a bit oily.
Also want to charge your credit card fee I would never go there again and would not recommend this place.
Loads of free parking in complex. Good access for mobility impaired. Only one Disabled parking bay from what I have seen.
Had a pie from here yesterday and it looked fantastic from the outside. Home made, big and authentic pastry. Then one bite into it and had to throw it out. It was so tasteless and just not nice at all. Has put me off pies for a little while
Pies are terrible and not worth $7. The filling is thick white spicy gravy and bugger all meat. The sausage rolls are spicy too and very overrated. Crumbed sausages are horrible and hardly edible being hard to bite into. The fruit in the juice cabinet sits there all week and the peeled oranges look dead by Friday. Food is highly overpriced, certainly not gourmet. This food bar is filthy, from the door, to the floor to the counter to the salt shakers, there’s even been tiny black bits of slimy stuff floating in the vinegar bottle. The only plus is the Asian girl who works there is super lovely and her customer service is very good. This place gets a big NO from me.
Manager came out specifically to tell off the lovely workers who were very attentive, because they forgot to charge and extra $2 for gravy on the side. He yelled at them in front of us rather then pulling them aside later, he seemed like a right asshole, I apologised and offered to pay the $2 but the girls were very nice and said it was fine.
Management need to pull their heads in and start treating their workers better.
Chips were slay tho.
Purchased a incredibly over priced “steak” pie for $7, there was no meat in the pie, just a mushy, gelatinous potato mixture with no flavour. Wouldn’t recommend.
Dont be fooled by the “beef” pies, the look really good but are full of some sort of potato and almost zero meat! Should be labled average bland potato pies so customers dont feel like they have been ripped off! If i wanted potato for lunch I would have got chips!
The worst pie I have ever had, not sure what’s inside it but I would avoid like the plague
Fish n chips were great, good selection of sandwiches drinks.
