About
Coolibah Fish N Chips is a casual takeaway spot in Greenwood, Western Australia, and has built a strong reputation among locals for solid portions and consistently good food. The shop is known for friendly staff and value for money, with regulars noting that the serves are generous without breaking the budget. Phone-ahead orders are a popular option for the dinner crowd.
The menu features flake, mackerel, potato scallops, and chips, with the fish praised for being moist and well-cooked on a good run. The battered fish has drawn back a few lapsed regulars who appreciate the return to a more traditional style under the current ownership. Families are well catered for, with a kids’ menu available and a wheelchair-accessible car park and entrance on site.
It is worth noting that peak periods, particularly busy nights like Good Friday, can stretch wait times beyond the quoted pickup time, so building in a little buffer is sensible. For most visits, though, the shop delivers on its promise as one of the better fish and chip options in the Greenwood area.
Free parking is available on street and in the car park, and the venue accepts card and contactless payments. Phone ahead during the dinner rush to lock in your order.

Good friday fish and chips we should have known better than to order and expect it on time! We had to wait an extra 45 mins on top of the pickup time we were given. The fish was cold and not the best when I got it home. Wouldn’t go back again when I have a better local.
Had read a lot of reviews regarding new owners, so glad I ignored them and ordered on Friday night. The order was made over the phone and we were short some Flake which was identified when we were paying for the order. The shortfall was rectified immediately. The squid was as good if not better than the previous owners. The Flake was beautifully cooked and so tasty. The chips were perfection. Cheese sausages were a little overcooked as they had split and lost some cheese. Dim Sums and crab sticks were fantastic. We will be returning. Could not be happier with the cleanliness of the shop and service we received, very friendly and helpful. Good luck to the new owners very satisfied customer.
Ordered grilled fish and chips and scallops. The fish was cooked from frozen and was like eating rubber. The chips had no taste and no salt despite asking. Don’t even get me started on the scallop. Very disappointing as we’re having to order other food.
I guess the meal was timely and service was good but nothing else positive.
Wife said it was the worst fish and chips she’s had in her life.
I’m glad we ordered some red wine to drown our sorrows.
Excellent grilled fish & chips, new local I reckon ☺️
Best fish and chips in the area. Staff are super friendly, the portions are a great size for the price and they serve consistently good food
We ordered grilled and fried fish, plus squid rings and they were all dripping in oil and non eatable.
And the chips were so dry and horrible.
Plus the staff were not professional… I was ignored for about 2 mins while I listened to the staff finish their personal story, then I was served. And I was ripped of $65.
Overall terrible.
I stopped going here when the previous owner changed from batter to crumbed fish. And did not notice in the last three years, new owners.
Tasty. Very tasty. In servings far to much for an old man 🥺 .. 😃
Great value for 4 pieces of mackerel which was moist and delicious. Also 1 serve of chips and 2 potato scallops bith of which were excellent.
Worthwhile and will go again.
