2/2025: Ordered 4 lots of F&C, 2 grilled, 2 battered, pick-up 6:50pm All were cooked perfectly. The grilled came in their separate heat-proof boxes; good idea. We asked for the battered to come separately and they were. Thanks. It was all delicious. A marked difference to our last time here in 2023, review below.
3/2023: We have been here four times. Never had a problem until last Friday. We arrived at 7:40pm when they close at 8pm. The chips were not up to scratch as per the other times. A lot of “scrappy” chips like they were the dregs of other cooking. Very disappointing. We can only think that because it was late, they were not making a bunch of new chips and just piled the dregs into our lot. Who knows. The fish was still ok.
Sorry…but I don’t know why such good reviews because our experience was poor. The fish in the standard fish and chips was nearly non existant, cardboard thin, see picture, chicko roll was not cooked through and cold in centre. The piece of snapper was a 4 out of 10. Came here because it had good reviews but very disappointing. You really need to do better than that.
Friendly service! The fish and chips were cooked perfectly. I like how their batter is very light and crispy! You must order the squid rings as well 😁
Thank you!! I’ll be back
I got the King Snapper and Chips tonight and it was a great meal. Best chips I’ve had in a long time and the serve of fish was generous and delicious too. Nice light batter. Staff also lovely. I was surprised that there wasn’t a line out the door. I’ll certainly be back.
Ordered the Red Emporor, it was Brown and under cooked. Would guess straight from the freezer to the oil. Hopefully we don’t get ill! The worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. Recommend you give it a miss.
Clean and presentable store with friendly service. Tasty fish and nicely cooked chips.
Only concern is $15 for a piece of fish the norm these days ?! It was a moderate size piece nothing massive. So $45 for 3 pieces of barramundi makes me think is the days of affordable takeaway a thing of the past ?
Great fish and chips and reasonably priced. We have been regularly shopping here for several years and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend.
We have had fish and chips from Moolanda fish and chips a few times now and the food has been amazing and with great customer service and a friendly atmosphere.
We will be back😀
