About
Wellington Village Fish ‘N’ Chips sits in Morley, serving up straightforward fish and chips to a local crowd that has plenty of opinions. Reviews are mixed, but a wave of recent positive feedback points to a noticeable improvement under new ownership, with regulars highlighting generous chip portions, fresh product, and a friendly welcome from staff who clearly take the time to get to know their customers.
The menu centres on the classics, with fish and chips as the signature. Portion sizes come up repeatedly, and the value for money on meal specials is a genuine draw. A single special reportedly offers enough food for two, which speaks to how the shop approaches its pricing. Quick service is another consistent mention, with wait times often under five minutes even during busy periods.
Dine-in and takeaway are both available, and the shop is family-friendly with a kids’ menu on offer. Wheelchair access is provided. Card and mobile payments are accepted.
It is fair to say the experience has not been entirely consistent, and some earlier reviews flag concerns about food quality. The more recent feedback paints a more encouraging picture, and for families or anyone after an affordable fish and chip shop in Morley, it is worth checking current form in person. Phone ahead during the dinner rush to keep wait times short.

Soooo oily, soggy potato scallops soggy oily fish. Hadn’t been there in awhile, thought we’d give it one last chance. Well, that was it! Never again! Waste of money, inedible.
I give them a 5 star review. There is a new owner, and it is much, much better. Chips didn’t taste like old fishy oil, portions were more than decent. Happy to have them here. 🙂
Our family’s favourite fish & chips!
Enjoy the meals provided here, always fresh and provides a great amount for what you pay for!
Should definitely consider checking this place out, a hard working man keeping this store running!
