About
Mullaloo Fish Bar is a casual takeaway spot serving the Mullaloo community with straightforward, well-cooked fish and chips. The menu features snapper (hake), dim sims, crab sticks, potato scallops, pineapple fritters, and the classic fish and chips combo. Delivery is also available for those who’d rather eat at home.
Portion sizes are a recurring highlight here. Regulars and first-timers alike note that serves are generous without feeling padded out, and the chips hit that sweet spot of crispy outside and soft through the middle. The batter on the fish is consistently described as light and crunchy, not greasy, which makes a real difference. Crab sticks in particular draw enthusiastic mentions from those who’ve tried the shop’s specials menu.
The team behind the counter adds to the experience. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, with staff known for being helpful and attentive. It’s a family-friendly venue with a kids’ menu available, and the accessible car park and entrance make it easy for everyone to visit. Takeaway and delivery are both on offer. The shop opens Wednesday through Tuesday from 4pm, making it a handy option for dinner most nights of the week.
For anyone in the northern coastal suburbs of Perth looking for a reliable fish and chip shop, Mullaloo Fish Bar earns decent reviews and keeps a loyal local crowd. Phone ahead during the dinner rush to avoid a wait.

Crab stick, dim sum and chips were great and would give 5 stars. Fish (reasonably priced) and calamari were really bad, way over cooked, dry and I’m not going to eat the rest of the fish (pictured). Found a better shop in the area a few weeks ago but wanted delivery. Sorry to say next time, I’ll make the trip for a better product.
Just ordered $7 chips, but got these…..what ever they are. Oily AF comprising 50% unedible dog ends. You’ll need a forensics team to confirm presence of any potato, cos I couldn’t find any. Last time I’m going there after giving them the benefit of the doubt for months.
Very nice portion for us. Not greasy. Chips cooked well and just the right amount of vinegar and salt.
The owner cooked our meal and the young guys on the counter were very helpful and welcoming.
We Will be a repeat customer.
Thanks for the great dinner at a fair price.
Found experience at Mullaloo Fish Bar was great overall.
Very generous servings and the fish best fish ever tasted.
Chips, squid rings and all others done very well.
Would recommend 100%

We Ordered takeaway for ourselves and our grandsons and I have to say for over $10.00 the kids portion size was miniscule . Were we feeding A 1 year old ? No . Our Grandsons were kept full by us feeding them ours . For $10 in these times I would expect decent portions , adult size no but at least enough to keep kids happy and fed . And the kids fish size was laughable, my Daughter actually said that they had forgotten the fish and was looking for an extra package .
would I think of going again for just myself and my wife maybe , maybe not , but if you have hungry kids , go somewhere else… $85 wasted
i ordered the two fish and chips, and it was absolutely delicious, Crispy and full of flavour! The fish was perfectly cooked, crunchy batter. The chips were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. the portion size was generous. We would be back again, well done boys.
Extremely expensive for the quality provided. The fish was not fresh or crispy, the chips were cold, and the calamari was overcooked. Total cost: $93.
Chips were cooked to perfection and the fish was crispy and the batter was really nice I had the special 2 and the crab sticks were amazing I highly recommend this shop it is open 7 days a week
