Young man behind the counter was very rude and aggressive. We were served very foul tasting, ROTTEN potato scallops. See picture. Very disappointing as this used to be one of our favourites. They definitely need to review their hiring and also food hygiene and preparation standards.
Great fish and chips. I really liked the crunchy chips, and the hake was delicious.

Really disappointed in spending over $60 for chips that were tasteless, fish and squid way over cooked. More crumbs than fish. The manager may need to stop the young staff from eating food as they wrap and cook customers food. It is unhygienic and I really hope they weren’t eating the chips from customer orders, and do you even wash hands between touching all the cash only payments to wrapping food. Sanitiser isn’t enough! Maybe a refresher in safe food handling practices 🤮
We always get great fish and chips here. Pre ordering always helps as you don’t have to wait. The food is always hot. There is a choice of crumbed fish as well as the usual battered or grilled. Staff are friendly. Very smooth operation. Well done.
My brother-in-law recommended this restaurant for a good fish and chips, so we decided to buy takeaway. After visiting Kings Park and the Botanic Garden, we drove along the coastline to Beaumaris Fish & Chips. My niece ordered fish and chips for dinner, and when we got home, we really enjoyed them.
The fish was fresh, flaky, and perfectly cooked with a light, crispy batter that wasn’t too thick or greasy. The chips were golden, crunchy on the outside, and fluffy inside, a great match for the fish. Compared to many other fish and chips we’ve tried, these were noticeably less oily, which made them much more enjoyable and easier to finish. Overall, it was a satisfying meal that hit all the marks of what good fish and chips should be: fresh fish, crisp batter, and well-cooked chips.

The fish is a good size and cooked well, the chips were seasoned and cooked well too. The marsbar was really good the batter tasted good and the marsbar was nice and gooey. Unfortunately the potato scallops were undercooked 🙁 and the cornjack wasn’t the best as well. Attentive and friendly service.
