Came here last Sunday as a friend wanted to try shops from the fish and chips awards, and this was the people’s choice winner.
Staff were very friendly and patient with our order which we were indecisive on.
We ordered quite a bit of food (onion rings, fish and chips, seafood baskets) and didn’t mind the wait as we all have worked in retail and know the struggles to keep a smile on our faces dealing with difficult orders
Now as for food, the fish itself was really tasty, nice juicy fish and melts in your mouth
the chips weren’t great, soggy and found it too oily
the batter for the seafood wasn’t nice, it was too oily, not crunchy, the colour was too dark, and didn’t taste like the winner of people’s choice. We do suspect it could be the day of the week, and oil in fryers were going to get changed the next day, but we like consistency
Afraid to say we were serverly underwhelmed, and as we weren’t locals we made a trek. BUT the fish itself without the batter was the winner, and the delightful staff

The owner replied which provided more insight, so I wanted to edit to thank you for taking the time! I understand where you’re coming from, we loved the atmosphere, but the review comes from trying other fish and chips shop and for us comparing to them, so no slight to you as you do have delicious food, but we all got sick afterwards and unfortunately that’s all we had eaten prior.
Customer service was great which I did highlight, so will reevaluate and gave it another star, though we are by no means professional critics thank you for giving us your time to reply
Oh wow what a lovely place to grab some fish n chips.. our snapper was cooked well, not too oily and the fish burger was to die for! Not to mention they even threw in some extra chips as a pleasant surprise 😁 RECOMMEND!
The best fish and chips I’ve had in some time. Medium chips were a generous portion and the fish was crispy and fresh.who knew Pinjarra would have amazing fish and chips! Will be back.
has to be one of the best fish n chips around. decent portions and always nicely cooked. young counter staff always smile too.
We had a meal for two from here and it was absolutely delicious.
The fish was nice big thick fillets and it was all cooked beautifully.
It’s the first time we’ve tried here but definitely won’t be our last .
