Only being new to the area from Victoria. This is by far one of the best fish n chip places. The fish just melts in your mouth and everything they cook is non greasy. Big portions I was so surprised my shark is huge. Polite and friendly staff and quick service. Well differently be coming back. Thanks rocks for a delicious dinner.
The fish bites were the size of a teaspoon. Overcooked and dry. Will not be returning. When I rang they passed me on to the manager, a 13 year old. She said their fish bites are all the same or round about the same size. I’m not interested in the cost of the food just expect to get decent food. Below below average. When I requested a refund her generic answer was no our fish bites are all the same size and they are a bite. Save yourselves and don’t go here. Terrible …over cooked rubbish scrummy fish only good for the cats. 👎
The grilled fish was awful rubbery, dry, and could’ve been mistaken for cardboard. It tasted like it had just been dragged straight out of the water, with a raw, unpleasant flavor that makes you wonder if it even hit the grill. The battered fish was just as bad as the grilled fish,it was thinner than thin and completely lacking any crunch. For what they charge, this was a total disappointment. It felt like the kind of meal you regret after the first bite.
My family and i have been coming here for the past year and we love it! Excellent food great staff and good prices. Would recommend the red emperor, my personal go to fish.
The quality of this fish and chips shop is truly impressive. The fish is fresh, with a perfectly crispy batter that is not greasy. Friendly staff, this is definitely a place I would recommend and look forward to visiting again.
The young guy who took my call about not receiving my fish was doing his best to help. His manager who I could hear in the background and wouldn’t come to the phone was rude and not supportive of her staff. Not only did my fish not get delivered but the chips were horrendous and like they had been sitting there and refried then burnt. If you work for this lady get a new job as she had no idea how to treat human beings appropriately. To the young guy on the phone, you did your best mate and I appreciate it.
This is my local fish n chips shop! And the service is so kind and helpful! They have generous portions great service and atmosphere, the owner is very lovely. Will definitely be coming back!
Wafer thin fish with more batter than fish and didn’t taste particularly good at all. Two adults fish and chips orders were not enough to feed me and my 7 year old daughter and very poor value for money at $27. Been favouring this place for the last few years but will be going elsewhere after this experience.
