About
Kim’s Fish & Chips is a casual fish and chip shop in Spearwood, Western Australia, open for dinner seven days a week from late afternoon. The menu covers the classics, with fish and chips, potato scallops, dim sims, crab sticks, pineapple fritters, and chips available for dine-in, takeaway, or delivery. A kids’ menu makes it a reasonable option for families, and the venue has a wheelchair-accessible car park and entrance with free parking on-site.
The experience here is mixed. Some regulars have found a reliable local they return to again and again, praising consistent food and good service. Others have raised concerns about pricing and found the staff manner variable, particularly during busier periods when online orders stretch a solo operator thin.
For anyone in the Spearwood area after a straightforward fish and chips meal with the convenience of dine-in or delivery, it may be worth checking the menu below before ordering.

We have been looking for awhile now for a good, not over priced fish & chip shop, after trying this shop we will not be looking any more.Since writing this we have returned many times NEVER a change in taste always GREAT service and GREAT food.
Now a few months later unfortunately this shop is well and truly overcooking most food and still flour and undercooked on other food .VERY VERY disappointing..
This was my first time experiencing fish and chips from this establishment, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Even though there were only 3 people in the shop, the lady (who was by herself) was very busy (with online orders, I’m guessing??).
The food was what you would expect from a fish and chips shop. nothing really stood out.. except the chicken tender I ordered. Even though it’s not Christmas yet, Mr Hankey actually tasted alright..
Way overpriced for fish and chips. This order cost $75 dollars – that is apparently $6 (two orders of chips). When I tried to call and talk to them rather than writing a review the lady in the shop was rude on the phone.
payed $30 for just a little handle full of chips that looks like it should be for 1 meal not 2 was not worth it the aftermath was worse. me and my partner ended up vomiting it all up, customer service was horrible and very unprofessional not even a single smile on their faces or anything would never go back in my opinion waste of money and time.
Would give 0 stars if possible. Ordered fish and chips on good Friday, ordered well ahead of time knowing it would be so busy. Called up 10min after order to check the order, was told it was a 30min wait. When asked if the wait had increased as were told 30min at time of order was told it would be 30min from order. Arrived and asked to pay for our order and was told at least another 30min wait, didnt seem they had progressed my order as I hadn’t paid for my order yet. Other people where coming in who had ordered an 1hour earlier were also being told their order was at least another 30min wait. Seems that this is how they approach all their customers. Won’t be coming back again, prefer somewhere that gives you some honest info about your order. Worked in a fish and chip shop for years, including multiple good fridays. It’s not hard to give accurate wait times, even on good Friday. Had to go home and try and scramble some food together for the kids.
Ordered on uber eats. They declined to mention they didn’t have chicken nuggets in stock. Charged me $142 for 6 pieces of fish and 2 small chips then claimed they ‘didn’t have a menu’ when I called up to find out where the rest of the order was. Absolutely thieves.
I wish I’d read the reviews first! Thought I would give this place a try. The young boy taking my order was really nice and friendly. The older lady delivering the food not so. Whatever, wasn’t fazed, maybe she’d had a rough day. Ordered a $49 family meal plus 2 fritters, over $50 dollars worth of food. Very disappointed with the size of the serve of chips. It was tiny!
0 stars if I could.
Absolutely appalling behaviour from the older lady at Kim’s Fish and Chips in Spearwood tonight. After placing a phone order and providing my name she hung up the phone abruptly when I was about to ask for my order to be confirmed. Surprise surprise, she got my order wrong and she became verbally abusive, started throwing utensils across the bench and took her anger out on me instead of owning the mistake. The other lady just watched on and didn’t try intervene or apologise at all.
I was shocked by how aggressive and unprofessional she was when I reminded calm throughout the whole ordeal and tried multiple times to explain she had misunderstood me. To top it off, she told me to never return to the store which I most definitely won’t be.
If you value basic customer service and being treated with respect, I’d strongly suggest taking your business elsewhere.
