About
Fork N Fish is a casual fish and chip shop in Trigg, Western Australia, drawing both locals and visitors with a well-rated reputation built on quality seafood and generous serves. The venue offers dine-in, takeaway, and delivery, making it a flexible option for lunch or dinner. Wheelchair access and free parking are both available, and families are well catered for with a kids’ menu on offer.
The menu leans into quality over quantity. Barramundi and premium emperor are among the headline fish options, and the salt and pepper squid has earned a strong following, with regulars noting the rings are cooked in sunflower oil rather than heavier commercial alternatives. The seafood basket and fish burger round out a menu that also includes vegetarian choices. Serves are known to be generous, and the batter on the fish is praised for being crispy without being oily. Salads, when ordered, are prepared fresh to order rather than sitting pre-made.
The shop regularly draws visitors from further afield, including travellers who stumble across it after exploring the nearby Scarborough area. Prices sit at the higher end for the style of venue, though most regulars consider the quality a fair trade-off.
A solid choice for fish and chips in Trigg, particularly for those after fresh, carefully cooked seafood. Check below for current hours and delivery details.

As a visitor from Melbourne we are always looking for good fish and chips. As we had been down to Scarborough beach earlier we decide to see what options were around for fish and chips. Google led us to Fork n fish. This little fish and chip shop did not disappoint. I can honestly say that the burger was the best I had had in awhile. The squid rings were delicious and cooked to perfection along with the chips. If you want really good chips and burgers along with squid then I would highly recommend trying out this place. Can not comment on fish as we did not have any but on what we had I would say it would be great. A bit pricey but the quality is there and that’s what count.
Incredible fish (snapper) and chips. The batter was crispy and delicious and not oily at all. Cooked to absolute perfection. The salad was the freshest I have ever tasted – literally prepared to order in front of me. So so good! Thank you, will be coming back ☺️
Fresh. Some of the best Squid rings we’ve had in a long time. Cooked in Sunflower Oil which is a good change to the stodgy commercial oil most use.
Price is up there but happy to pay a tad more for quality.
Ordered 18 rings and got 23 in the box… BONUS THANKS.
Buyer beware: don’t fork out for fork n fish
Unfortunately, this was a thoroughly mediocre fish and chips experience for a very premium price. The fish had a peculiar texture and each piece had an identical shape, suggesting that it might be a molded product. The chips were okay, but a stingy amount by fish and chips standards. Worst of all though was the price. Between a group of three we paid over $100 – 18.90 for a single serve, and something around $65 for a ‘pack for two’. Plus premium sauces at $3.90 each. Fish and chips is one of the most simple and cheap meals a person can make – as traditional neighborhood fish and chip shops have demonstrated for years -so to be charging this much is bordering on daylight robbery. It will be insisted by the management that it is a “very premium product” to justify the extreme pricing, but truth be told despite this and and almost beachside location, it’s simple tastes like nothing special. I hope they reconsider their business model and manage to attract some more custom.
Found this little place because we couldn’t find parking at Scarborough. Great customer service. Fish was beautiful and huge serving. Organic sauce was great.
Best fish & chips in Perth! Fish is always white, moist & flakey. Chips are always crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Wish I had a photo of my meal but I always end up smashing it before I remember to take a photo.
Our local was closed so chose Fork n Fish based on its reviews. The reviews were spot on. Absolutely recommend them. Huge meaty fresh fish portions and great chips. Will become our new local.
Unfortunately, the fish and chips did not live up to their description. What was served appeared to be a frozen supermarket product rather than fresh fish, and the batter was not freshly made. For a coastal takeaway, this is disappointing. Service was very slow too and grossly overpriced.
