About
Charthouse Fish & Chips is a takeaway and delivery shop in Waikiki, Western Australia, serving up the classic fish and chips combination that keeps local families coming back on a Friday night. The menu features fish and chips as the headline act, alongside squid rings, dim sims, souvlaki, and pineapple fritters, giving regulars plenty to choose from.
At its best, the fish here draws real praise. Regulars note the fish arrives juicy and well-cooked with a light, crispy batter, and the squid rings earn their own fans for being soft and tender. The shop is known for being generous with chicken salt on the chips, and orders placed through delivery platforms have been noted as arriving quickly. The shop is family-friendly with free parking available, making it a practical stop for a casual meal with the kids.
Recent feedback has been more mixed. Some visitors have flagged concerns about oiliness, chip quality, and portion sizes relative to price, along with a few changes to familiar menu items that longer-term regulars have noticed. The shop carries decent reviews overall, though opinions have varied more in recent times.
Charthouse operates for lunch and dinner on weekends, accepts card and mobile payments, and offers both takeaway and delivery. Phone ahead during busy periods to confirm current menu availability.

Amazing food! Squid rings are so soft and tender with a light crispy batter… fish was juicy as and it was really quick via menulog for order and delivery.
Normally an awesome fish and chip shop. Has always been the regular Friday night feast. Have they recently changed owners?
Suddenly there’s no potato in the potato scallops?
No sauce in the souvlaki?
Feel bad leaving 1 star but I don’t know how they have a 4.3 rating. Save your money and go somewhere else. We got fish and chips and the fish souvlaki. Everything was soggy and bland. I tried the mushy peas but they didn’t have a fork or spoon or anything at the shop so had to raw dog. Portions were so small, it was giving Oliver Twist. Overall, too expensive for below mid fish and chips :((
Fish and chips were a great treat. The fish was big, crispy and wasn’t soggy
Only problem was the quality of chips. Got all the small and dry bits.
Generous with chicken salt
Great for the price for 1
Got 1 fish, 1 pineapple, 1 dim sim and chips for $14.50
Just spent $72 on a family meal with an extra fish and extra crab stick and received the equivalent of 2 potatoes of chips which is unacceptable for a family meal , overcooked fish and dim sims and substandard food in my opinion and conveniently not able to answer a complaint call at 7:48 pm you will never see another cent from us and we have been loyal as a once a week take away venue , photos attached
The worst chips prawns and crab sticks ever very disappointed they are descusting gravy is horrible and like water the price use charge would deffently want better
Disappointing. Very oily, bland and overcooked. Portion size was fine but unfortunately everything tastes so greasy. Save your money and try somewhere else.
Been going to this Chippy for years , seen 3 different owners take over : latest, current owners have reduced portion sizes and pushed up price, now using STEALTH tax , charge you for using EFTPOS which is, has always been free as it’s money directly taken out of your bank account, unlike a credit card . Also a staff member said “ if you don’t like it leave “ after I had paid and complained about the eftpos extra charge . Won’t be going here anymore. $15.50 for F&C got charged $15.75 for using eftpos
