About
Stanley’s Seafood & BBQ Chicken in Carina, Queensland, has built a solid reputation for doing two things exceptionally well: fresh fish and chips and BBQ chicken that regulars rate above anything from the major supermarkets. The fish and chips are made with sustainably sourced seafood, and the menu highlights a grilled fish option alongside the classic battered variety. Family meal deals are generous to the point where a serve billed for four can comfortably feed six, which makes Stanley’s genuinely good value for the whole family.
The BBQ chicken draws a crowd of its own. Regulars describe the birds as juicy, succulent, and perfectly crisped on the skin, and more than a few make the trip from well outside the suburb just to pick some up. Quarter chicken with chips and gravy is a popular lunch order, and the salad sides add a fresh alternative to the usual chip-shop accompaniments. The potato bake is cubed rather than layered, which is worth knowing before you order if you have a strong preference.
Stanley’s operates as a fish and chip shop and takeaway in Carina, with delivery also available for those who prefer to eat at home. The venue is family friendly, wheelchair accessible, and offers free parking. Payment by card and NFC is accepted. There is no table service, so the setup suits a quick, casual pickup rather than a sit-down meal.
Phone ahead during the dinner rush to avoid a wait, particularly if you are ordering a whole chicken.

I had a 1/4 chicken and chips with gravy on top for lunch today and it was delicious. They also had a nice selection of salad sides that I’ll definitely try next time👍
So I try and support local businesses the best I can, but the experience here was so bad I had to review. All of the product in the picture cost $32…yes $32!!! So the chips were obviously old stock and gross and the fish was actually rotten. Yes rotten. It stank my car out on the way home and I knew it was bad.
Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.
I requested plain salt on my fish and chips as my family have an allergy to the msg that is is chicken salt. These incompetent people clearly put it on anyway. Moreover the seafood menu is poorly laid out and it was back and forth with staff to work out what the hell I was actually getting.
Really good fish and chips great serving size. Potato scallops are old school home made. Haven’t had fish and chips as fresh and decent size for ages. Great job keep it up.
We ordered half BBQ chicken, potato bake and gravy.
Delicious BBQ chicken!
Juicy white meat and perfect crispy skin.
The potato bake was good but different to what we expected. The potatoes are cubed, not thinly sliced. This changes the taste and texture of the potato bake.
My husband wanted potato bake so that’s why we put in an uber eats order. I liked it but it isn’t the traditional old school potato bake.
If you are used to cubed potato bake – then it’s awesome potato bake! 😁🤷🏻♀️
Yes, we will order BBQ chicken again here.
Amazing fish and chips, we grabbed the family meal which was for 4 people but you could probably have fed at least 6 with the serving size. Serving size was huge which makes it such good value for money. 100% will go here again
Don’t even bother buying your roast chickens from anywhere else. Worth the 20 minute drive each way to get the most succulent and flavour full hot chickens. Not much dearer than those mainstream chooks and these guys tump all! Thanks for always having heaps of stock to support everyone. 👌❤️
The rotisserie chickens here are very tasty, not like the despair flavoured chooks at Woolies.
Whilst they’re a little salty, the meat is soft and tender and fully cooked. Definitely worth getting if you’re wanting to throw into a meal or just scoff it directly.
The fish and chips here are also pretty nice, and the staff are friendly and engaging.
Can be a little busy at the usual times, so place your order and grab a coffee or a donut whilst you wait.
The only downside is that it next to a car park, next to a main road, but it’s a strip mall, so expectations in accordance.
