Unassuming fish, chicken & chip shop. Owners are super friendly, and the food is good. Fried chicken thigh was crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. Chips were hot and fresh.
I love getting my fish and chips here. It just has that feel good local milk bar vibe that you don’t find anymore. However the lady as seen the the photo can be rude and hard to deal with particularly when she tries to charge you extra for a meal you already ordered and paid for after she gets it wrong. I had ordered 2 grilled fish and chips via phone and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. So I made my way down to find that my food had not been put on I confirmed with the woman it was 2 grilled fish and chips face to face. She then proceeded to put 2 crumbed fish on, and told me 10 minutes. She then handed me my order with the crumbed fish and told me I’ll have to pay extra now because she’s already cooked the fish. It was her own mistake, I had told her multiple times both over the phone and in person and she still wanted to charge me more like it was my fault for her ignorance. Great feel good food though.
Family run old fashioned fish and chip shop. Amazing price for what you get this all cost $36!! The chips were quite chewy and the potato scallop was raw and was so so thick with batter.
Was feeling adventurous and tried Fish and Chips at this takeaway store in Coorparoo.
Was let down by the fish as it was on the dryer side but chips were crispy. Overall was mediocre and a bit bland tasting however wasn’t very oily which I am grateful for. It was $10.90 altogether 🙂
Holy crap that’s some bad fish n chips. Wow. Inedible. Overcooked fish, burnt Dagwood dog but still actually cold inside, foul burnt potato scallops, insipid chips that were an oily mushy flavourless mess. Never, ever again.
Best works burger (hamburger with the lot) I have had the entire time ive lived in brisbane (about a decade now). Family run. Super reasonably priced. Everything delicious. Lasagne topper 10/10
Salad sandwich made fresh, reasonably priced, tasted yummy however 4 🌟 coz they had no brown bread.
Great affordable food and you get treated like a human!!!
My family and I always grab BE burgers 🍔 for under $10 without extras 😋
