Sorry guys but this was the WORST fish and chips we’ve ever had. Had to wait a very long time and then everything was so overcooked and tasted disgusting. We ordered snapper but I doubt it was snapper. Chips were cooked to a crisp with nothing inside, empty. There were five of us and no one enjoyed it at all. No lemon either. Definitely will not go back there and cannot recommend.
Very Disappointing Service and Completely Unreliable Trading Hours
I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received on Saturday night. I began trying to place an order at 6:40pm and spent twenty minutes calling, only to be met with a constantly engaged line. Assuming something must have been wrong with the phone line, I got in the car and drove down to the shop, arriving at 7:00pm.
I then waited at least five minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. At 7:05pm, I finally started placing my order—only for the girl behind the counter to suddenly stop me and announce that they had stopped taking orders. This is despite the business clearly advertising closing at 7:30pm.
When I explained that I’d been trying to order since 6:40pm, I was told they don’t take any more orders after 7:15pm. Aside from the fact that it wasn’t even 7:15 yet, the staff member then added that her train leaves at 7:40pm, so she needed the shop closed well before the advertised time. This is completely unacceptable. If a business claims to be open until 7:30pm, it should honour that commitment and staff the shop accordingly—not shut early due to personal schedules. Lets be honest closing at 7:30pm on a Saturday night is ridiculous in itself.
To make matters worse, there were two other families behind me who were also turned away and visibly frustrated at being unable to buy food for their families on a Saturday night in a town with very limited dining options. If Saturday nights are busy—and clearly they are—then put more staff on to cope with demand rather than turning customers away.
This level of service is appalling. If you’re going to advertise specific trading hours, then honour them. If not, adjust your hours—but don’t leave loyal customers inconvenienced and empty-handed. This experience has seriously damaged my confidence in supporting this local business.
Been to this place to try & buy burgers 3 times in the last 6 weeks between 11am & 12 noon & it has been closed. The hours advistised are 11am to 8pm. It is hard to support a business if you are not going to open on time. I will not be back, sorry.😤😡 I was there at 11:45 am yesterday, the open sign was not on, the tables & chairs were not set up outside, both the screen & glass doors were closed, all lights were off & nobody was around.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hands down the BEST Seafood & Burger Bar I’ve ever been to!
From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with friendly service and an amazing smell of freshly cooked food. The seafood is unbelievably fresh – perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender inside. The fish tastes clean and light, and the milk shakes are next level 😍
The burgers are an absolute knockout – juicy, loaded with flavour, and cooked to perfection. Every bite feels like it’s made with care and quality ingredients. The portions are generous, prices are very reasonable, and the food comes out hot and fast.
What really sets this place apart is the consistency and the passion of the team. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. Whether you’re craving seafood, burgers, or both, this place never disappoints.
If you’re anywhere nearby and haven’t tried this spot yet, you’re seriously missing out. Highly, highly recommended – I’ll be back again and again! 🙌🍔🐟
Best ever. Had a very good food after a long time. I highly recommend everyone to try out the burgers, wraps and shakes.
Best kabab and garlic chicken balls . Good for veggie and non veg both . Good deal with great taste …. Must visit … highly recommend
As a picky eater I adorned the food to my own shock.Delightful and speedy service as well a light atmosphere
Have tried a few times before & they’ve always been shut but finally they were open. Was there half an hour before closing time only to be told they’d already shut off the grill because “it been slow”
Giving up.
