About
Peregian Springs Seafood Restaurant is a well-regarded fish and chip shop serving the Peregian Springs community and welcoming visitors from across the Sunshine Coast region. The signature dish is beer battered snapper and chips, and it’s easy to see why it draws people in. The batter arrives crisp and hot, the chips are consistently praised for their texture, and the potato scallops and potato cakes are regularly called out as highlights worth ordering alongside the main.
The menu goes well beyond the basics. Dim sims, described by regulars as a step above the usual, feature alongside family packs that are known for their generous serves. The pan seared salmon with salad has also earned attention for freshness and quality, showing a broader kitchen capability than many suburban fish shops. Beer battered barramundi is another option that regulars return to, with consistent results across both dine-in and takeaway orders.
The shop caters to a range of needs, with dine-in table service, takeaway, and delivery all available. A kids’ menu makes it a practical choice for families, and the venue is wheelchair accessible with free parking on site. It’s open for lunch and dinner, drawing a mix of locals and visitors, including plenty making the trip from Brisbane after being pointed in this direction.
Decent reviews across a solid number of ratings reflect a kitchen that generally delivers. Phone ahead during busy dinner service to keep wait times down.

Got the family pack
So much food the fish was beautiful
The dim sims were delicious not your usual marathon dim sims.
Potato cakes and chips were Perfect.
The chips were very nice and the service and fast and easy. The restaurant however is in need for a serious renovation. Picture frames barely hanging on the wall, freezer clearly needing to be cleaned or replaced and overall just very untidy and messy. overall food is nice and so are the workers just lacks nice scenery and a good restaurant environment.
Ordered the beer battered barramundi with crispy chips a couple of times (take away) – and it’s been consistently good. However yesterday, I tried the pan seared salmon with salad, wow, what a delicious fresh meal, prepared to perfection! Highly recommended!
My son and I waited 1 hour and 5 minutes for our order. After one hour I asked for a refund and then I was told they were packing my order. There was no apology. I have never waited so long for fish and chips. Phone orders were jumping the queue. So don’t order at the counter. Many orders were being mixed up. As I was leaving a previous irate customer returning in their car said they were coming back to get the rest of their order that wasn’t packed (their package was short of chips and a burger). Terrible customer service. It would have been nice to be aware of how long of a wait so you could have the option to go elsewhere. It’s unfortunate, I’m a local and I like to support local.
We visiting from Brisbane and wanted some nice fish and chips. We were advised that Peregian Springs seafood was the best and we were not disappointed. The service was great. The food was fresh. The chips were just divine and the fish. Fantastic. Well done to these people.
Beer battered Snapper arrived hot and batter crisp, both chips and potato scallops were first class
