The fish and calamari ain’t fresh but I didn’t think it would be. Quick service, and friendly staff but cash only. Also the shop isn’t titled Peter’s Fish and Chips but Benalla fish and chips. Serves only takeaway. This is probably the best fish and chips currently in Benalla simply because I don’t think other fish and chips eateries exist here yet. If you’re buying here then you’d probably want to get the special deals, it’s way more worth to get the deal than to buy pieces separately. We had the $26 special with 2 fish, 2 potato cakes, 2 crab sticks, 2 dim sims, and $2chips and the calamari special pack which was $36 dollars if I remember correctly.
Stopped here late Saturday. Fish and chips really good. Very well cooked. Clean shop . The fish and chips did not repeat on me like they normally do. Parking was a bit tricky had to park across the road
Lovely little fish chip shop run by a Chinese couple. She squeels away at him in Chinese and he shakes his head…funny as.
But the foods pretty good consistently
Great service from the young man working! Very polite and great customer service
Stopped in for a feed, great experience
Food hot and fresh!
Very nice flake, potato cake, dim sim, seafood stick and chips!
Will definitely be back next time.
Owner very helpful, even let me know when I went to grab a smaller drink than the pack came with.
We ate at the park under the trees 😎
Thanks for a great lunch!
Good fish and chips, really enjoy there steak sanga..
This is your traditional style fish and chip shop., nothing too fancy. Just good old school deep fried fish and chips, with burgers and schnitzel available as well.
I had a burger with the lot, including a pineapple slice, egg, Bacon tomato, onion and of course. a meat patty. It was to die for.
If I am ever in the area again, I will be sure to drop in.
My wife noticed the fish fillets were not refrigerated. Neither were the ingredients of the hamburgers. The temp outside was hitting 36c and the place isn’t air-conditioned. The only positive point I can make is the servicing size was fair. If you can go else where.
