    Generous, lovely batter, tender succulent fish, love the variety, crunchy chips, what a meal! Just needs a little more seasoning. Gotta love your local fish and chip store.

    Really, really disappointed with our food today. I normally wouldn’t leave a bad review until giving them another chance, but after spending $135 feel it’s justified. I ordered thru Uber, almost $20 of potato cakes forgotten, the hamburger patties & sausage in batters were lucky to have 3 bites taken. Flake was overcooked. Usually really enjoy the food; hope it was just an off day.

    The difference – NOTHING! When called out on it, received an eye roll and ‘that’s the way you ordered it’. So paying an extra $5 for the same burger is perfectly acceptable according to him.

    Worst of all, Poppy saw me calling this man out, and did nothing.

    So disappointing. As a loyal, monthly customer for over 10 years, I’ve been burnt for $5.

    Maybe I should’ve been checking my receipts in more detail all this time…

    I live locally to this business and I thought I’d give it a try. I ordered two hamburgers With a lot and $9 Worth of chips.
    I would have to say the hamburgers were big enough to even satisfy my appetite and tasted absolutely delicious,
    The chips tasted fresh And crispy, we only have takeout once a week at Home and my wife The Health freak Told me I’ll have to be going back again tomorrow.

    Sussex Fish & Chips is hands down one of the best spots for classic fish and chips. The fish is always fresh with a perfectly crispy batter, and the chips are hot, golden, and well seasoned. Portions are generous and great value for money. The staff are friendly and quick, and the service is always consistent. If you’re after proper, old-school fish and chips done right, Sussex Fish & Chips never disappoints.

    I came and got 2 grilled whitings and 5 eggs and oh my god wow, the whiting is so fresh tasting and perfectly seasoned it’s not over done or under done cooked to absolute perfection, also was generous with the amount of lemon slices I got. Definitely going to be a returning customer. Love the work guys

    Ordered a burger, minimum chips and a couple of potato cakes for pick up. Best burger I have had in years absolutely fantastic and the chips are thick and extremely tasty. Great size serving of chips as well. Well done guys fabtatsic
