My family and I order fish and chips from you a minimum of once a month, having a husband who is celiac it’s refreshing to be able to enjoy a take out meal together as a family.
I would also like to comment on how great the owner of this shop is, we came in to pick up our order around 7pm on Friday the 11th of July and a customer came in highly abusive with his sons to argue. The owner who only had young girls on staff defended his staff and maintained composure. 10/10 for service, 11/10 for defending your workers.
Stopped in for a quick snack for 3 people and ordered a pack for $15 and honestly the best, fresh, hot chips potato cakes and dim sims we have all had in so long!
Used to be great, but new owners must be inexperienced. Potato cakes were burnt, spring roll tasted terrible and chips weren’t cooked properly. Won’t be going back in hurry.
One of the Best pieces of BLUE GRENADIER I have ever had and trust me I’ve had a few and so affordable so where the SWEET POTATO CAKES ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Definitely travelling from Kilmore to Wallan when I want Fish (Blue Grenadier) & Sweet Potato Cakes

We didn’t go in it was closed over Christmas but I looked in and shaded my view so the sun didn’t reflect my own face off the glass and bent over and it looked good and I also looked good I thought
Here goes it, l got the seafood box 1
$15 great value. You get a small flake chips, 1 scallop 1 prawn 1 calamari, l asked if they would add 2 more scallops & pay the extra, they agreed. It was a big feed, l couldn’t eat it all. They have dairy & gluten free tartar sauce with is yummy.

I feel the batter they use could be better and lighter, less of it.
By the way there jam donuts are very very delicious 😋
I gave them a 3 for atmosphere because the smell of coffee & cigarettes in a fish n chip shop combined with a noisy radio was all a bit much if your in there to long.
It’s clean & service good and settling in & outside the shop. Plenty of parking too.
They also have a gluten free fryer with most items available in gluten free.
The Gluten Free batter is absolutely delicious, I had the Barramundi, tried a GF pumpkin cake and a GF sweet potato cake. There were so many choices, it was hard to choose. It’s rare for me to have choices like that. I’ll definitely be going back to this shop again next time I’m in town. Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner thank you. Really Lovely and clean shop, well priced and great service too. 😃
