Great fish and Chips at a reasonable price.
Batter was light and not oily.
Ordered the seafood Platter, additional oysters and a Snapper.

$41 certainly doesn’t get you much these days at Balga Fish and Chips. Used to be great, but their prices have gone up and serving sizes have gone way way down. No food has been eaten yet, there are 30 chips at best in this box.
Will I be coming here again? Easy answer is no.
Last night we ordered the special of 3, 3 extra crab sticks and an extra $5 worrh of chips, over $40. This has become the worst fish and chips place i have been to. The batter on the fish (Snapper upgrade), Din Sims and Crab sticks was so thick and dry that my family actually took most of it off before eating it. The amount of chips we got in the box for 3 was probably 1 servings worth. I actually felt sick after eating some of the batter.
Pretty disappointed for a $23 seafood basket.
They must have changed owners because they were expensive before but you got a lot more.
Never going back now. I recommend the other fish and chip shop in Balga
I visited Balga Fish and Chips last year and was really happy with both the food and the price. The portions were generous, the fish was fresh and nicely cooked, and everything was great value for money. I’ll definitely go back when I’m in the area again. Highly recommend for a good, affordable meal!
I have been buying fish and chips for years from there, now I wouldn’t shop there if you paid me. Fish is supposed to be at least 6oz but last time I was there the fish was so small and thin, I came home and weighed it and it was 3.8 Oz. I complained and she started telling at me and banned me from the shop, that’s ok. What she does with the fish is slices it so thin. Fish used to cover the plate. She was yelling at me as I told her I was going to report her. What she is doing is illegal. Money hungry woman.
I buy burger with the works for $10 regularly, fresh ingredients and include beetroot 100% amazing . I’ve had fish and chips before and they are very tasty . Great service and good prices . It’s my regular go to .
They used to be 5 stars to me but they halved the portion of fish perhaps due to the govt ban in fishing, to keep prices low.
