About
Belmont Village Fish & Chips has been serving the Belmont community for over two decades, building a steady local following with honest, no-fuss fish and chips done well. The menu keeps things familiar, with traditional battered fish and chips as the signature, alongside dim sims, potato scallops, pineapple fritters, and a fish of the day. The shop also caters to those who prefer crumbed or grilled fish, which is a handy option not every fish and chip shop in Perth’s eastern suburbs bothers to offer.
Generous portions are a consistent theme among regulars. The chips are the short, fat variety, cooked through and crispy, and the battered fish is praised for using fresh product with a clean flavour. Family packs are popular, and the squid rings are noted for their size. The pricing sits at the reasonable end, with most people feeling they walk away with more than their money’s worth.
The shop is family friendly, with a kids’ menu available, and caters for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery. Staff are known for being friendly and efficient even during busy periods. Free parking makes it an easy stop. Card and mobile payments are accepted.
Open Wednesday through Tuesday from late afternoon into the evening. Worth a visit for anyone in the Belmont area looking for a solid, reliable feed.

Good quality, reasonable price, ordered fish and chips, small combo, squids rings can feed four of us. Will definitely go back!
Unassuming local fish and chip shop, with all the basics. I like that they have kiwi sausage, and curry sauce on the menu! The batter is nice and crispy, the chips are you the short and fat kind and are cooked well.
If you want to feel like you get for what you pay… Here you feel like they serve you way more than what you would normally expect. For that reason I keep coming back to this place.
The fish is very fresh with a great taste and the chips are perfectly cooked.
Be aware the portions are huge.!!!
In the picture you can see what I mean.
I asked for snapper and wow they actually give you 2 fillets, which is a whole fish.! 👏👏👏🐟🐟🐟
Lived in Belmont for over 10 years and never been to this shop before
Service was fast I think it’s gone through several owners
Ordered the standard $15 fish & chips was a decent size
Fish was food and satter was light and crispy
Chips are chips just like all other shops
Thank you so much! We had Family Pack of 4. I am very grateful they catered for grilled fish and crumbed fish options, not just battered. They were delicious and generous amount. I am very happy with it and the staff were friendly. I also noticed they were very patient when some customers were rude to them.
We will definitely be back again.

A Belmont institution — 20 years strong and still the best!
I’ve been coming to Belmont Village Fish & Chips for over 20 years, and they have never let me down. The food is always cooked to perfection — crispy chips, beautifully battered fish, and generous portions that leave you satisfied every time. Whether it’s a Friday night feed or a quick dinner after work, they’ve consistently delivered quality and flavour.
The team here are friendly, efficient, and genuinely care about their customers. Over the years, I’ve seen them serve the community with the same welcoming attitude and top-notch service that keeps people coming back.
The shop is spotless, the menu has something for everyone (including great value family packs), and the vibe is always relaxed and welcoming.
It’s rare to find a place that maintains its standards so consistently for two decades — Belmont Fish & Chips is one of those rare gems. Thank you for always being amazing!
Very good fish and chips. Thin crunchy batter and a generous serve.
Family has been to a lot of fish and chip shops and what this place does well is consistently good chips (crispy) and fish is great. Pineapple fritters are good, need to be more crispy though.
Recommended place to eat.
