Does this place have new owners coz omg . I bought a chicken souvlaki today . Ummm since when does souvlaki have curried chicken in it . Why does everything have to be curry . Follow traditional recipes please it’s pretty basic food. Chips, what chemical Do you put in them
To make them that yellow ? Turmeric? And so dry and tasteless even with chicken salt , no flavour . Fish souvlaki salty and over cooked . So dry was absolutely awful. Then to add to this bad experience there was so much juice from the souvlakis we got it all over our clothes, had to go back home and change . We ended up giving the food to the birds even then they spat most of it out. Sorry but I agree with the other reviewers , choose a different type of business.
Disappointing experience. We’ve been loyal customers of this shop for a while, but it’s clear there’s been a change in management. Unfortunately, the quality has dropped significantly — the potato cakes were overcooked, the calamari tasted artificial, and the scallops were toasted rather than fresh. This place used to be one of the best fish and chip shops in our area, but sadly, it no longer lives up to that reputation.
Is this even a potato cake, more like a battercake. The chips tasteless, even with chicken salt and all chips appear to be the offcuts of small size. Very well done.
I’ve finally found a fish & chips spot that lives up to the hype! From the moment I walked in, the aroma of golden, crispy fish hit me, and it did not disappoint. The fish is perfectly flaky, light, and fresh—clearly caught and cooked with care. The batter is crunchy without being greasy, and the chips are thick, fluffy, and seasoned just right.
The portion sizes are generous, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the overall vibe is casual yet inviting. I also loved that they have options for sides and sauces that elevate the meal without overshadowing the star: the fish.
If you’re a fan of traditional fish & chips or just want a spot that consistently nails it, Catch 20 Fish & Chips is a must-try. Definitely earned its spot as my new go-to!
First time ordering fish and chips from this place and will be the last. Fish was dry and stringy. Everything was over cooked dark in colour and dry. Calamari was disgusting! Hard, dry and fake. Paying over $50 for inedible food.
Great food and family friendly place. The food was great and the atmosphere quite welcoming. The owners are very warm and made the food exactly to our choice. Very happy with the service and there are ample vegetarian options to choose from. We are definitely coming back.
The Vege burger was absolutely delicious! Very satisfying. Packed full of goodness.
The service was friendly and efficient.
Good vibes all round. I highly recommend it.
A family of 4 we spent 100 dollars and recieved the worst fish and chips. Calamari is the fake frozen ones despite being told it was fresh. Minimum chips was like 20 chips. The flakes were very small and thin. Potato cake were very small. Very disappointing won’t be back.
