About
Lyndarum Fish & Chips is a casual neighbourhood spot in Epping, Victoria, serving up solid fish and chips with a loyal local following. The menu covers the classics well, with flake, calamari rings, potato cakes, dim sims, and sausage in batter all on offer, plus plain hamburgers for those after something a little different. The seafood pack is the signature order and a popular choice for families wanting variety.
The batter here gets consistent praise, with regulars noting it comes out crispy and light without being heavy or greasy. Chips are crunchy and generously portioned, and the potato cakes have earned a particular mention from those who have tried lesser versions elsewhere. The burgers also have their fans, with the patties described as well-cooked and satisfying. Friendly service from the owners and staff adds to the appeal.
Dine-in seating is available, including outdoor tables, which suits families well. The meal was lovely and thanks for giving us two 1.25 litre soft drinks for free.
Well! What do you expect in a good burger?
Gotcha! The burgers here are to die for and worth every bite you made.
The patties are crispy but moist in the inside!
Slightly runny eggs perfectly cooked.
I ordered from then multiple times and they are consistent.
Flake was OK but batter was very heavy and oily and we picked most of it off. Chips were average when covered in sauce. Dim sims were very tasty but the potato cakes were borderline inedible as they were covered in thick batter which was burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside.
Customer service was lovely though.
I’ve been a few times and I must say I’m very impressed. I used to get my chips from Catch 22 but found them to be so tight, and potato cakes were always tiny and burnt.
The owners and staff are very friendly, and their chips are great, potato cakes even better.
My son’s fave. It’s the only place I go now for his chips. Highly recommend.

Best fish and chips I’ve had in years. Perfectly cooked and delicious, crispy batter with just the right amount of crunch
We have just recently started coming here and it’s been fantastic! The food is great, not oily! The staff are super friendly even when under pressure tonight on a 40 degree day and hot night!
We will be regulars! Cheers!
This place must be struggling, the minimum chips is now not enough for a toddler, $12 dollars worth of chips is even less than minimum chips from back in the day, i will no longer come here id rather drived to Greenbrook Fish n Chip shop who is way more generous and the place looks absolutely spottless, maybe you guys should take a leaf out of Greenbrook and see how generous and busy they are, their $7 chips is double your $12 chips, go order for yourself and see the difference, and maybe do a deep clean on your shop because it looks absolutely filthy
